Where We Are

Irving Park United Methodist Church is located at the corner of Keeler Avenue and Grace Street in the historic Old Irving Park Neighborhood of Chicago, about half-way between O’Hare Airport and downtown. Our address is 3801 N. Keeler Avenue. We are conveniently located two blocks south of Irving Park Road and the Kennedy Expressway (I90), two blocks north of Addison, and three blocks west of Pulaski. Keeler is a one-way street that heads north. Grace is a one-way street that heads west. Both will get you to our doors, but keep in mind that driving requires discerning the maze of one-way streets in the neighborhood.

Both the CTA blue line and the Metra train line run along the expressway, and have stops at Irving Park/Pulaski, just two blocks from our corner.

During the week, most people enter the church through our entrance on Grace Street. This is a one way street that connects from Pulaski to the east. Through this door you can easily reach our offices, meeting locations and fellowship hall. Both the Grace and Keeler entrances are open on Sundays.

In 1888, the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Irving Park was organized with 27 charter members. First public worship services were held at the "Brick Store," at Kedvale and Irving. The "neat building of wood with a spire," shown here, was dedicated in 1892 and stood on the corner of Keeler and Grace in the same location as our current church, which was constructed in 1913. We celebrated our 115th anniversary in 2003!
