Ministry Opportunities/Upcoming Events

1. We are installing some new plaques on our "Tree of Life" in the sanctuary during Sunday's worship service. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the lives of people who served this church, loved ones of our church family, and dedications to members currently with us. In this season of Advent, we hope you will make time in your schedule to be with your church family and gather with us in Christ's name.

2. Christmas Caroling on Sunday, December 16th at 5:00pm. We'll meet at the church and walk around our neighborhood singing our favorite carols. We will not cancel this unless it is very, very cold and there is a strong wind-chill so come join us. Homemade chili and soup will follow back at the church. Bring the kids (big and small!) and join the fun. When was the last time you went caroling?

3. Opportunities to help others.
a. We are collecting new, warm socks (for adults and children). Drop them in the large box in the Grace Street entrance by Dec. 20.
b. Bake some cookies and put them in quart-size Ziploc baggies. Bring your cookies to church on Dec. 16 or drop them off at the church office from 12/18 to 12/20 between 9am and noon. Both the cookies and the socks are going to the Humboldt Park Social Services Organization for the homeless.
c. Purchase a gift for a child and bring it to the church unwrapped between now and Dec. 16. Drop them at the church office Tues-Fri between 9am and noon.
d. The Irving Park Food Pantry can always use more food and donations for food. Send a check to them at the church address--3801 N. Keeler Ave., Chicago, IL 60641.
