- God, the Creator, is continually at work in the world and in each and every human being — inviting us into relationship with God, each other and the created world.
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior, the one through whom all things were made. Jesus came to earth to demonstrate how much God loves humanity and to show the world the lengths God will go to demonstrate that love.
- The Spirit of God encourages, strengthens, challenges and sustains us. We believe that when two or more are gathered in God’s name, the Spirit is there.
- Every human being has been given gifts of the spirit and is unique and special — a child of God. We welcome all people regardless of their race, age, sexual orientation, gender, nationality or political affiliations. We value the gift of diversity.
- Jesus was a servant leader. We believe to be a committed follower of Jesus is to serve. This service takes on a variety of forms and changes to respond to the needs of our neighbors and the world.
- We, as a covenant community, are responsible for our own faith. Faith needs a community to nurture its growth. Our faith is grounded in our experiences of God as Creator, Savior and Sustainer, and is influenced by our traditions and ability to reason — with the Holy Scriptures having the primary influence.
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is a manual for living, an inspirational book, a historical document of God’s interactions with humanity, a spirit-filled book that is not static but dynamic.
- Love is stronger than hate.
- Evil exists in this world. However, we believe nothing, not even evil, can separate us from God’s love.
- We are saved by the grace of God. This grace is a gift. We do not, and cannot, earn it. God’s grace is freely given to all who will receive it.
